A Good Story, Well-Told

That's pretty much what I strive for in all my novels! And if the story entertains, engages, and reveals human character by illuminating an important societal issue and suggesting positive change, all the better!

I came to fiction late, after a  varied career as a naval officer, an advertising executive, a marketing consultant, and a college professor. I like to think my breadth of experience points me to themes for my novels that are fresh and timely.

I've also learned that it's best to "Write what you don't know you know." That's because a novel is not only a willful act of imagination but also a journey of discovery, for both author and reader.
